Evan Lopez, a high school student in North Carolina, was denied his diploma for wearing a Mexican flag draped over his shoulders at a graduation ceremony. Lopez said he donned the flag as a tribute to his family for coming to the U.S. ‘to give me a better future,’ per the Courier-Tribune.
